Friends and family, reading together

Quran reading groups

Choose a target. Share the reading. Complete it together.

A Group Admin is simply the member who organises your reading, not a QuranOfficial website administrator. Anyone in your group can take that role.

From a group of friends to a shared target

  1. Create or join a group

One member creates the group and becomes its Group Admin. Others join in one of two ways: the Group Admin invites them with their QuranOfficial ID, or they ask to join with the group ID and the Group Admin's QuranOfficial ID. The Group Admin approves every join request.

  2. Invite in rounds

A group holds up to 100 people, counting invitations still waiting for a reply. The Group Admin invites 10 people at a time; when 7 of them (70%) have accepted, 10 more invitations open. Invitations and join requests nobody answers expire after 7 days.

  3. Set the target and dates

Reading targets unlock once at least one other member has joined. Then choose the Surahs or Juz to complete and agree when the reading starts and ends.

  4. Share out the reading

The Group Admin assigns portions, or allows members to choose their own. Members can take more than one portion.

Everyone then follows real progress: completed and outstanding ayahs, with unfinished portions handed to another member or taken on yourself.

Example, not a live group

30 friends. 30 Juz. One agreed finish date.

Aisha organises the group. She invites ten friends at a time, more invitations open as they accept, and each friend then takes a Juz. The group sees its combined progress without sharing passwords.

Someone cannot finish?

The Group Admin sees exactly what remains. Completed ayahs stay counted; only unfinished reading is handed over, in one piece or smaller portions.

Want to read again?

A fresh reading attempt records fresh effort. It does not turn one reading into two completed portions or duplicate anyone's QO points.

A collective effort. Your own reading record.

Your group's Hasanat estimate

Members see the recorded effort for the target period. These are activity-based estimates; Allah alone knows the actual reward.

Two days to review

The finished target remains visible for 48 hours after the agreed end date, then moves out of the active panel. History and personal reading records are retained.

Safety rules, in plain words

Someone keeps inviting me, or asking to join my group. What can I do?

Choose Report on the invitation or join request. That group cannot invite you again, or that person cannot ask to join your group again. When 5 different readers have reported the same person, that person cannot send invitations or join requests for 24 hours.

How often can someone ask?

A person can be invited to the same group 3 times and can ask to join the same group 3 times. Each reader can ask to join up to 10 groups a day.

Can I start several groups at once?

Add at least one member to your group before creating another one. Until someone joins, the group's reading targets stay locked and nothing is shared.

Is Group Admin a paid role or a website permission?

No. It is a free organising role within your own group. It never grants access to the website's Admin Panel, other groups or another reader's private account.

Does joining a group automatically share everything?

No. Membership requires approval. Group progress concerns the agreed reading target, not passwords, private notes, purchase history or referral income.

What happens to my QO points?

Your own earned points stay in your account. Group totals do not multiply points or make another member's balance available to you.

Make your next reading target a shared one.

Choose the people, the reading and the pace.
